CutCat is a video editing tool. All video processing is performed entirely on your device — your video and audio files are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or any third party.
Video Data: All editing, cutting, and exporting happens locally on your device. CutCat does not collect, store, upload, or share your videos, audio, or any file content.
Advertising (Google Play version): The version of CutCat distributed on Google Play displays ads through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve ads, AdMob collects and shares a device advertising identifier (Advertising ID / AAID) and related technical data. This data is used only for advertising and is transmitted over an encrypted connection. See Google’s policy for how this data is handled: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Network Access: The Google Play version requires a network connection solely to load ads. No video, audio, or file content is ever sent over the network. (Sideloaded builds that contain no ads do not use the network at all.)
Consent (EEA/UK): Where required by law (e.g., GDPR), CutCat shows a consent form via Google’s User Messaging Platform before requesting personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time through the app’s consent settings.
Permissions: CutCat requests storage/media access solely to read and write video files on your device.
Children: CutCat is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your Rights: You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads), which limits ad personalization. For data handled by Google, see Google’s privacy policy linked above.
Third-Party Services: The Google Play version integrates Google AdMob for advertising. No other analytics or tracking services are used.
